Bassnectar steps away from music after ***ual misconduct allegations
Bassnectar is stepping away from music after allegations of ***ual misconduct surfaced.
An Instagram account called Evidence Against Bassnectar was created at the end of June, posting various ***ual misconduct allegations against the California DJ and producer. The posts on Evidence Against Bassnectar allege Bassnectar had numerous ***ual relationships with teenagers. He's also been accused of grooming fans.
Although Bassnectar claims the rumours are "untrue", he's released a statement addressing the allegations and announcing he will be "stepping back from my career". He also stated he'll be moving away from his non-profit organisation Be Interactive.

Bassnectar had previously spoke out on the allegations, posting on a Facebook group called Love Here.
In that, he wrote: "I have never been involved in anything that was not absolutely , unequivocally consensual. During a time when high profile men are being called out for their violence against women, I am proud to be an ally of women, and stand in solidarity with victims."
