Shiba San drops pair of tech house tunes on 'La Cabana' EP

House veteran Shiba San is back with his first release of 2020, the La Cabana EP. Both tracks on the EP are some of Shiba’s most tech-inspired house tracks to date, especially the title track which features a highly repetitive synth pattern scored with sharp flares of acidity. “Brace Yourself” draws inspiration from the worlds of bass-house and tech-house, as vocal chops and strong sub-bass intermingle with classic 909-esque sounds.

Though La Cabana is the first release from Shiba San this year, it’s not the first work from his Basement Leak imprint. Just a few weeks back, Millad dropped off a pair of tech house tracks on the imprint. Whether or not this indicates a trend of the label diving deeper into the sounds of techno, we’ll have to wait and see.
