'Taki Taki' becomes DJ Snake's third single to surpass 1 billion Spotify streams

DJ Snake has joined Spotify’s billion stream club once again with “Taki Taki” alongside Selena Gomez, Cardi B, and Ozuna. The achievement is impressive, although certainly unsurprising given the track features such a heavy-hitting collection of artists. “Taki Taki” was released in 2018 originally, and the Latin heater has graced radio waves, clubs, and parties ever since.

DJ Snake is no stranger to the 1-billion mark. His collaboration with Major Lazer and MØ, “Lean On,” hit a staggering 2 billion video views in addition to “Taki Taki” hitting 1 billion video views on Youtube. On Spotify, DJ Snake joins a very short list of artists including The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, and Drake, to have three singles with more than 1 billion streams. DJ Snake’s other singles with more than 1 billion streams includes “Lean On” and Justin Bieber collaboration “Let Me Love You.”

The artist took to Instagram in order to celebrate the accomplishment, posting simply the word “WOW” in reaction.
