Amy Poehler & Nick Offerman Say That If Beyonce Plays Mayor, They'll Revive "Parks And Rec"
Parks and Recreation is one the best mockumentaries to appear on television. From 2009 to 2015, the hilarious series gave the nation a look behind the scenes at the bureaucracy Pawnee, Indiana. Parks and Rec also helped launch several careers. Chris Pratt was on the show before he ascended to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Star-Lord. Aziz Ansari, who was already a rising star, was on the show as well. Aubrey Plaza, who played Pratt's love interest April, has moved on to the horror/hero show Legion (a must watch). Still, with so many the show's stars pursuing other projects, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman have hope for a reunion.
Poehler and Offerman sat down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and told the enthusiastic host that if Beyonce would play the mayor on the series, they would revive it for a reunion. “We just had a fitting earlier,” Offerman stated. “We said if Beyoncé will play the mayor, we’ll bring the show back. This is Beyonce Knowles, the singer, the entertainer," he joked as if there could be any other Beyonce.
“I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it,” Poehler stated afterward in all seriousness. Check out the interview below.
