An Italian club is attempting to break the world’s longest DJ set record during lockdown

While Italy is in lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Milan’s The Temple of Lost Future venue is attempting to break the world record for the longest DJ set with a planned 340 hour session.

The current record was set in Nigeria in 2016, totalling 240 hours.

The live stream is taking place inside the venue, and also featuring conversations with dance music artists and promoters from across the world who are discussing the state of the scene amid the global pandemic.

In a statement on Facebook, the venue wrote: “During the DJ set, Italian and international artists, promoters of cultural centers and clubs from all over the World will participate by telephone, telling how this virus has radically changed the lives and professions of everyone, each bearing their own testimony.”

Neill Landstrumm, Fabrizio Rat and Enrico Sangiuliano are confirmed to feature, alongside a host of promoters from across Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

The DJ set has been going since March 20, and is due to run 14 days and four hours to April 3.
