Charlotte de Witte Moves Full Speed Ahead With Invigorating “Overdrive” EP

There's simply no slowing Charlotte de Witte's stride.

The powerhouse producer has already notched a year to remember, continuing to bring techno to primetime audiences at festivals across the world. Notably, de Witte became the first woman and techno artist to close out Ultra's iconic mainstage in March.

The Belgian techno superstar has been hard at work in the studio as well, recently dropping her Reflection EP alongside Enrico Sangiuliano. Now, de Witte is once more gathering momentum with her thematic Overdrive EP, a high-energy record that channels her inner thrill-seeking spirit.

The two-track project kicks off with "Overdrive," a techno anthem in the making with vocals that effortlessly implant themselves in your memory. Like the soundtrack to a blurry night, de Witte incorporates a twisting centrifuge of euphoric plucks and distorted, stabbing basses in the rollercoaster six-minute track. Meanwhile, her previously released single "High Street" brings up the back end with fast vocal flows and rhythms that equally ignite a compelling desire to move.

Charlotte de Witte's KNTXT is additionally set to deliver on its first pieces of merchandise within the U.S. The brand is setting up shop at Extra Butter on the Lower East Side from May 16th through the 20th with a limited collection that will feature apparel designs inspired by the new EP.

This week will also feature the KNTXT takeover of The Brookyln Mirage for back-to-back showcases on May 18th and 19th. Tickets are on sale now.
