Childish Gambino Expected To End Drake's 15 Week Reign Atop The Hot 100

Drake's been dominating the Billboard Hot 100 this year. The Toronto rapper's single, "God's Plan" held the top the Billboard charts for nearly three months straight before being replaced by his second single the year, "Nice For What." It's been a hard battle for any artist to try and compete against Drake on the charts. Last week marked the first time in three weeks that Drake didn't hold the top two position with his singles after Post Malone's "Psycho" knocked "God's Plan" for the number two spot. However, Childish Gambino might be the artist that ends Drake's reign.

Childish Gambino's "This Is America" has been doing some huge numbers and sparking quite the conversation ever since he debuted the music video for the song last weekend. Billboard reports that the song is expected to debut at number one on the Hot 100 this week. If this happens, this means that Childish Gambino will be the one who ends Drake's 15 week reign at the top the Billboard Hot 100. According to Nielson Music data, the single is expected to draw over 50M U.S. streams as well as 8M in radio airplay and 60K downloads sold by the end the tracking week. 

If all goes as expected, Childish Gambino and Drake will also mark the first trio "first trio back-to-back-to-back No. 1" since 1995-1996.
