Chris Varvaro continues progressive house tear with 'Intoxicated'

The 2020 festival season is but a passing mirage amid COVID-19 related cancellations, but self-taught instrumentalist, Chris Varvaro, is determined to preserve some of it. An extension of his progressive house proclivities, Varvaro’s latest output, anthemic single, “Intoxicated,” is his bid to capture and hold some of the elusive season, to bring the mainstage to listeners’ car and home speakers.

Written with the intent of composing a song that “thousands” could jump to, “Intoxicated” vigorously harnesses not only nostalgia for live events, where Varvaro’s record would serve as a crowd-galvanizing candidate for rotation, but also nostalgia for the heyday of progressive house. Varvaro keeps the heart of the genre beating in “Intoxicated,” which recalls his 2019 progressive showing, “Let Me Go.”
