Daft Punk Are Reissuing “Random Access Memories” With Unheard Demos and Unreleased Music

The announcement arrives two years to the day of Daft Punk's shocking disbandment in 2021.

Legendary electronic music duo Daft Punk have announced a special "10th Anniversary" reissue of Random Access Memories.

Due out on May 12th via Columbia, the LP features 35 minutes of unreleased music across nine tracks, according to a press release shared with EDM.com. This includes "unheard demos and outtakes" that arose from the "intimate creative process" behind 2013's Random Access Memories, Daft Punk's final studio album.

The expanded Random Access Memories edition will be available in 3xLP, 2xCD, streaming and downloadable formats. The album will also be made available for the first time in Atmos.

The announcement arrives two years to the day of Daft Punk's shocking disbandment in 2021. The new music will be the first released by the iconic robots since, albeit in the absence of a reunion.

The duo's Thomas Bangalter recently announced his first post-Daft Punk solo album, Mythologies. Composed in collaboration with the Opéra National de Bordeaux, it's his first piece written for a symphony orchestra. Mythologies is scheduled to release on April 7th via Erato/Warner.
