David Guetta has added another collaboration in his musical arsenal – a nostalgic deep house track with songwriter Lewis Thompson.
In the midst of the party season, enriched by his weekly residencies in Ibiza, David Guetta gave us a radio-friendly hit made in collaboration with a behind-the-scenes master of songwriting Lewis Thompson. This Friday, the deep house notes mixed with 90s tinged production came in the shape of a 2-minute bop ready to take over clubs and radios and wake up the nostalgia in all of its listeners.
Speaking about the track Lewis said:
“Nostalgia is one of the most powerful emotions in the world, everyone relates to that sudden feeling of being taken back to a moment in time. “Take me back” takes you on a ride to reminisce and relive the past, and cherish what’s in front of us right now. I’m really proud to be putting this out as my first record”
Speaking about Lewis, David Guetta said:
“He’s always been a bit behind the scenes….but he’s so talented, I want the world to see it.”
Although this being first time his name signed in his own right, Lewis Thompson has been a trendsetter in UK music industry for years. Being a talented songwriter behind some of the most popular UK singles, his work can be found among Little Mix, MNEK, Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Jade Thirlwall and many more. Being one half of the DJ/producing duo Just Kiddin’ Lewis stepped into the spotlight with his own arsenal of feel-good dance tracks and is ready to take over dance playlists and radios.
David Guetta has now added another collaboration in his musical arsenal with this track, with his recent one being with James Hype called ‘Crazy What Love Can Do’. The French DJ is currently busy with weekly residencies F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! at Ushuaïa and Future Rave at Hï Ibiza, along with occasional boat parties with friends he shares videos of on his Instagram.
‘Take Me Back’ by David Guetta and Lewis Thompson was released this Friday on Sony UK and you can check it out below:
