Dwyane Wade Receives 3-Year Offer From Zhejiang Golden Bulls
Dwyane Wade still has not decided if he'll return to the NBA for the 2018-19 season but there are reports that several teams in the Chinese Basketball Association are making offers to the future Hall of Famer.
Wade, who was recently given a lifetime contract with Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning, has been offered a three-year $25 million to join the Zhejian Golden Bulls, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel. There have also been reports of a "monster" offer from the Xinjiang Flying Tigers, though the numbers have not yet been revealed.
During Wade's Li-Ning event in China last week, the 36-year old veteran was asked about the upcoming season but said he'd wait until he got home to make any decision. He told the Associated Press, "When I get back from China, I’ll focus on that. Right now, I'm focused on the game after basketball. Whatever happens in basketball, it happens. I've done everything that I can to this point to put myself that I'm in this position I am today, where I can do something that hasn't been done globally yet. The basketball will take care of itself. I'll sit down and figure that out once I get back from this tour at some point."
According to Ira Winderman, the Heat have three open roster spots for the 2018-19 season, enough to accommodate Wade, Udonis Haslem and another player.
