Kevin Garnett's Sister Reportedly Arrested For Armed Robbery, Bomb Threats
Ashley Danyelle Phelps, the younger sister former NBA star Kevin Garnett, was reportedly arrested in South Carolina on Tuesday after attempting to rob two Check Into Cash stores and an Advance America, according to TMZ Sports.
Phelps allegedly tried to rob one the Checks Into Cash stores on Monday by telling employees that she had a bomb. However, someone pressed a panic button and she fled the scene empty handed. Undeterred, she tried another store the very next day but was unsuccessful once again. Later, she went to an Advance America shop and once again tried to rob the place by telling employees she had a bomb. Police ultimately caught up with the 37-year old woman a short time later and arrested her.
According to TMZ Sports, she was formally charged with two counts armed robbery, two counts making a bomb threat and once count attempted armed robbery. She was denied her bond and is currently being held in Greenville County Detention Center.
TMZ Sports reports that family sources say KG and his younger sister used to be close but they had a falling out and are no longer on speaking terms.
