Michael Jordan Docu-Series "The Last Dance" First Trailer Revealed
ESPN Films and Netflix are partnering up for a 10-part docu-series that will chronicle the rise NBA legend Michael Jordan as well as the 1990s Chicago Bulls. The series, titled "The Last Dance," is set to premiere in 2019 and according to Richard Deitsch The Athletic, MJ has approved the project and will take part in it.
ESPN Films and Netflix announced the joint production today at the ESPN upfront presentation, which was followed up by a teaser trailer posted to the ESPN Films 30 For 30 twitter account.
Per ESPN Media Zone:
"Directed by Jason Hehir (“The Fab Five,” “The ’85 Bears,” “Andre the Giant”) and produced by Mike Tollin, the anthology will examine the simultaneous rise Jordan and the NBA during those years."
"Anchored by more than 500 hours never-before-seen footage from the team’s last championship run in the 1997-98 season, “The Last Dance” will have the full participation Jordan and other key figures from the Bulls’ championship teams, as well as dozens other luminaries from basketball and beyond."
