Post Malone's "Beerbongs & Bentleys" Shatters First Week Streaming Record
Post Malone teased his sophomore album for months, if not over a year, and fans eagerly awaited the project's release. Towards the end 2017, he gave a release date that didn't end up pulling through and fans waited upwards to five months to hear what the rapper had to fer. Finally, the album dropped last week and fans have been loving it. Upon its release, the singer broke the record for most single day streams which was previously held by J. Cole's K.O.D. However, it looks like he's managed to beat J. Cole again as first week numbers have come in.
According to chartdata, Post Malone has locked in the most amount streams for an album in a single week with 440M overall streams. It's a massive number for Post and holds true to what reports predicted. In addition to doing some incredible streaming numbers, they also report that he has also made the biggest debut the year by moving 471K units within the first week. Post's fans are clearly vibing with what he's doing and his album clearly lived up to the hype that his fans had.
Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentley's also did some phenomenal numbers within it's first day. Due to the streaming loophole, the album went platinum within a few hours. Much that is likely due to the success "Psycho" with Ty Dolla $ign and "Rockstar" with 21 Savage.
