REPORT: Apple Cuts iPhone X Production In Half

Rumors have been swarming that Apple plans on its latest and most talked about smartphone device — the iPhone X. Well, according to a new , that’s at least half true.

A reveals Apple recently notified suppliers that it’s cutting production in half due to “disappointing holiday season sales.” That means the prospected 40M units will be more like 20M this quarter.

According to ‘s insiders:

Apple will halve its production target for the iPhone X in the three-month period from January from the figure over 40 million units envisaged at the time its release in November. The U.S. tech giant notified suppliers that it had decided to cut the target for the period to around 20 million units, in light slower-than-expected sales in the year-end holiday shopping season in key markets such as Europe, the U.S. and China.

If this is true, it seems this is really the beginning the end for the iPhone X. Apple still seems to be doing ok, as far as iPhone 7/Plus and 8/Plus sales go.
