It’s almost confounding to consider that two heavyweight house outfits like Valentino Khan and Ship Wrek have yet to conspire in the studio. That is, they hadn’t—not until early April when the trio’s quarantine development came to fruition during their respective HARD Summer and Nocturnal Wonderland virtual livestreams. Not even a month removed from its official entry into the ID portal, “Obsession” has now arrived in full through Diplo’s Mad Decent.

The collaboration is about as evenly split of an outcome as sonically possible between Valentino Khan and Ship Wrek’s unmistakable house lanes. From the sultry vocal loop to its compelling house summit, the result is primed to find its way into an abundance of impending isolation mixes.
