Volume Unit Releases Dark and Wobbly Debut EP, “Delusions”

With his most experimental work yet, Buffalo, New York producer Volume Unit has unleashed his debut EP, Delusions, on Ujuu's Solace Family Records.

Delusions is the perfect showcase of Volume Unit's sound, giving fans a quick glimpse into the mind-melting madness his music brings to the table. Best described as enigmatic and wobbly with shades of G Jones and Eprom scattered throughout, Volume Unit does an excellent job of curating a brilliantly colorful soundscape within his tracks.

The titular "Delusions" does an excellent job at that, creating a dark ambiance with haunting samples around its rattling drop. "The Cell" and "Tunnel Vision" remain in a similar lane, retaining Volume Unit's ethereal approach while being much heavier than the intro track. "Meta" serves as the final song on the EP and takes a more experimental route than the previous three tracks.

Receiving support from Excision early on in his career, Volume Unit has a strong trajectory to thrive within bass music. Keep an eye on him as he begins to carve his own path.
