Watch Calvin Harris Pay Tribute to Migos’ Takeoff at Coachella

Calvin Harris featured a special performance of "Slide," which included a verse from the late rapper.

Calvin Harris' massive Coachella 2023 set featured a heartfelt tribute to Takeoff, of Migos fame, amid the superstar producer's performance of "Slide."

Harris' 2017 hit featured Frank Ocean in addition to fellow Migos members Quavo and Offset on the original cut. While Takeoff was not originally featured on the song, he appeared elsewhere on Harris' Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 album on a track called "Holiday."

During his Coachella performance, however, Harris transposed Takeoff's verse from "Holiday" into "Slide," while pausing his set's visuals to feature a still image of the late rapper.

Harris' tribute did not go unnoticed by fellow Migos star Offset, who is also Takeoff's first cousin.

"This so hard, man, thank you," the rapper said, addressing Harris directly in an Instagram Story post.

Takeoff was fatally wounded during an altercation at a Houston bowling alley just over five months ago. He was 28 years old at the time.
